Hello there! My name is Joanna and I'm The Guardian's Digital Development Editor. I helped to co-create Hacks/Hackers London, which began life as "Ruby in the Pub" - an attempt to teach myself to code!

Hi Joanna
I would be happy to second pitch tomorrw at hacks/hackers event.
It ties in quite well with Flume too.
Cheers
Patrick
Hi Joanna, I'm an Italian journalist. I've sent you an email, looking forward to hearing from you soon
OH ok, right..I stand corrected then.. Seemed part of the crew.
Hi Joanna,
Have been thoroughly enjoying the Hacks/Hackers meetups (what a great idea!) Did you ever conquer code? We run a meetup in NY called Ladies Who Code and have decided to start up in the UK in light of the excellent response across the pond.
I was wondering if you or any of your members might be interested in attending. It is pretty tech focussed but promises to be a great evening. Here's the details...http://www.meetup.com/Ladies-Who-Code...![]()
Hope to see you there!
Joanna you may be interested in Globalnet21 where we debate and discuss some of the major issues of the 21st century and the sustainability of our planet to understand and make a difference. You would be welcomed to join us at http://www.meetup.com/21stCenturyNetw...![]()
We welcome new ideas about innovation.
Hi Joanna. I had hoped to be able to come along this evening but can't make it. Is it possible to obtain any presentation slides from the event?
Hi Joanna, just joined group and look forward to event next week.
Quick question: Can you recommend any one/two-day journalism courses in CMS web editing systems (publishing, editing stories, blogs, pics, video clips). Recently did some reporting shifts for Channel 4 News's web site and want to improve my web production skills!
Any ideas would be welcome.
That's assuming that people who say they're going to come actually come. I run two popular London meet-ups for techies and the actual attendances are never as high as the amount of people that say they will attend. Unless your event is especially over-subscribed
, I would suggest just leaving it open and make it first come/first serve on the day.
